Razor wire, also called barbed tape or concertina wire. It's a metal strips with sharp edges which purpose is to prevent passage by humans. Razor wire is much sharper than the standard barbed wire, the points are very sharp and made to rip and grab onto clothing and flesh.
The multiple blades of a razor wire fence are designed to inflict serious cuts on anyone attempting to climb through and therefore have a strong psychological deterrent effect. In many high-security applications, barbed tape supplanted barbed wire, which could be circumvented relatively quickly by humans with tools, while penetrating razor wire barriers without tools is very slow and difficult, giving security forces more time to respond. Razor wire contains a core hardened steel strip that is often under tension, so if cut, the recoil could cause the wire to unfurl and lash out, striking the cutter.

Triple Strand Concertina Razor Wire/ Triple Coil Razor Edge Wire
Razor wire obstacle barrier known as triple strand concertina wire fence or triple coil razor edge wire.It's consists of two parallel concertinas joined by twists wire and topped by a third concertina similarly attached. A triple strand concertina wire fence could be deployed very quickly: it is possible for a party of five men to deploy 50 yards (46 m) of triple concertina fence in just fifteen minutes. Optionally, triple concertina fence could be strengthened with uprights, but this increases the construction time significantly.
